New Video from the HSUS

Check the above new video from HSUS, or go to http://video.hsus.org/ and look at the "Horses Mutilated For Show" video. I do know that the video evidence is from the 2008 Celebration. Note the horse that is laying down in it's stall and tries to get up. That animal is in serious pain.

This video really says it all.

Oh, kat.
Good gawd.
Oh, those poor creatures...
It's so wrong.

In this day and age!
Anachronisms, they are. Ugly, terrible to watch.

Thanks for posting this.
I'm sorry if you ever felt I'm "for" this. Gawd, never.
Ever.
wow. (shakes head)

No worries, GL--I had misread your comment on SITHSR. I call them charactures, but I like anachronisms, too.

I really wish the USDA, the feds, the police, someone...will stop all of the idiots that are leaving the shows as soon as the usda shows up. Isn't it obvious those are the people breaking the law? It's like pulling up to a farm to check on a compliant that was filed concerning abused animals and when you get there, the owner loads them up and leaves so you can't see them....DUH! I don't think that would fly, so why do they just let these people drive away?!?!

Also, I have really been wanting to get some kind of bumper sticker that supports the end of soring and pads for TN walkers...do you know of any that exist? I live in Knoxville, TN and it blows me away how so many local people have no clue what actually goes on in their beloved state horse. Why can't we spark some controversy with a big bumper sticker?

Hey Colste,

"It's like pulling up to a farm to check on a compliant that was filed concerning abused animals and when you get there, the owner loads them up and leaves so you can't see them....DUH! I don't think that would fly, so why do they just let these people drive away?!?!"

Actually, it can fly. The reason being is that it's that person's property as far as the land and the animals, and therefore they can do whatever they want with their animals. It happens a lot with fighting dogs. It's why AC officers have to show up unannounced. You have to catch them in the act.

Brenda Imus used to have a bumper sticker and various shirts she put out that said Sore No More, Tennessee Walkers: Go Natural or Go Home. Unfortunately she doesn't make them anymore. If you go to www.cafepress.com and search for Tennessee Walking Horse, they do have lots of products. You can also make your own, put whatever you want on it. It's easy to do--I've done it myself!
